Where to Book

  • Levante Ferries (official): levanteferries.com
  • Ferryhopper: ferryhopper.com
  • On-site at Kyllini port — tickets available until shortly before departure, but vehicles book out fast in July/August

How to Get to Kyllini Port

Kyllini is 80 km west of Patras and around 330 km from Athens. By car via the E65 motorway it takes about 3.5 hours from Athens. There is no direct train; the closest station is Patras, from where you need a taxi or bus.

By bus from Athens: KTEL buses run from Athens to Pyrgos with a connecting service to Kyllini. Journey time roughly 4–4.5 hours total.

Parking at Kyllini: Free parking is available at the port. Arrive at least 45 minutes before departure with a vehicle.

Kefalonia → Zakynthos (Island-Hopping)

A seasonal connection links Pessada (Kefalonia) with Agios Nikolaos (Zakynthos) — ideal for travelers combining both Ionian islands. The service runs approximately May through October. The crossing takes about 1.5 hours.

This route is not operated by Levante Ferries. Check current schedules and operators via Ferryhopper.

Practical Tips

  • Book vehicles in advance for July and August — car space sells out weeks ahead
  • Arrive 45 minutes early with a vehicle; foot passengers can arrive 20–30 minutes before
  • No cabin service on this short crossing — open deck and basic lounge seating only
  • Winter reductions: On some Sundays in low season, three departures instead of four
  • Schedule changes: Levante Ferries occasionally adjusts times for public holidays and peak days; always verify before travel
